Jonathan Goins’ Passion to Help
The inception of the highly successful firm you see today, came from a young man’s burning desire to help.
In the Summer of 1994, in Alexandria, Louisiana, a young Jonathan Goins witnessed the tragic event of his mother suffering a terrible fall due to a store’s negligence.
While his mother endured years of pain, medical treatment and physical and financial hardship, Jonathan watched helpless, wishing he could do anything to help.
Despite the store’s obtuse negligence, and the years of suffering, she was only awarded $10,000… not even a fraction of the medical bills — not even mentioning the lost wages!
That injustice lit Jonathan to be the most caring and competent lawyer you’ve ever met. He has lived dedicated to doing right and taking care of those around him.

After receiving top-ranks in his B.S. & Doctor of Law from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Jonathan immediately started his career in 2006 by moving straight to Houston, Texas.
As well as being a highly intellectual man, Jay has always been a kind man, caring about those around him, absolutely plugged into the epicenter of his community. The connections of friends and family brought him to Houston under the guidance and training of Houston’s Top Lawyers.
Over the last 19 years, Jonathan has done everything he can to put his best foot forward every step of the way to curate the best legal experience possible for you.

Jonathan “Jay” Goins, himself, drives out to Alexandria, Louisiana, for the first part of every week to serve as a member of the council of his city. Ever since 2008, Jay has been a strong member of his City’s legal force, ensuring the positive growth of quality of life to the people who live there.
Through charity events, school supply drives, food drives, and initiatives aimed at helping those in need, we strive to make a positive impact where it matters most.

Case Results
Civil Settlement – $6,825,000.00
Client was a 53 year old who suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury with tetraplegia and neurogenic bowel and bladder due to an accident on August 26, 2017; her initial offer prior to hiring Goins Law was $50,000.00
Settled without having to file suit
Car accident involving neck injuries received $550,000 without ever going to court
C.W. v. “B.H.H. Insurance”
Case settled for $200,000.00 after mediation. Client did not have to have surgery Adjustor said case was only worth $10,000.00 in the beginning. As a result, Goins Law filed suit immediately and got 20 times more what the insurance company initially wanted to pay.
State of Texas v. P.B. (Engaging in organized criminal activity)
Client faced serious racketeering charges; DA would not come down from offer of 20 years at hard labor; Attorney Goins took matter to trial; Prosecutor offered 2 years Deferred Adjudication right before jury was sworn; client accepted
After extensive negotiations with prosecutor, both charges were dismissed
